Afton Mountain Vineyard is appropriately located on Afton Mountain in Nelson County. It’s one of Virginia’s first farm wineries. The original grapes were planted in 1978, and are still in production today. They grow 11 varietals on 26 acres. Come visit the “Grapes Don’t Grow in Ugly Places” locale everyone is talking about.
